Health & Safety

In April 2006 UMS became part of the Turriff Group, Scotland’s leading utility contractor. UMS has reviewed its health and safety, environmental and quality policies and practices to comply with best practice in each area and to ensure consistency across the organisation. UMS has now implemented the revised HSEQ policies across all its operations and site activities.

In line with Turriff Group policy, UMS is now in the process of obtaining formal accreditation for its HSEQ policies.

UMS is pursuing the following accreditations:

• Health and Safety – OHSAS 18001
• Environment – BS EN ISO 14001
• Quality – BS EN ISO 9001
